David Oh has merged his small law firm into 45-lawyer Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddy. Oh, whose practice includes workers compensation, casualty defense and immigration, will help the firm launch government relations and international practice groups, Zarwin Baum managing partner Mitchell Kaplan said.

Suit: District ignored abuse
Special-education students at Martha Washington Elementary School this fall allegedly were forced by their teacher to fistfight in the middle of the classroom, according to allegations made in a whistle-blower lawsuit filed Thursday in U.S. District Court. The plaintiffs are seeking reinstatement, back pay and unspecified monetary and punitive damages, said Jill Fisher, of the Philadelphia firm of Zarwin, Baum, DeVito, Kaplan, Schaer and Toddy, P.C.

Two sue Philadelphia schools
A clinical therapist and an associate counselor have sued the Philadelphia School District and their private employers, saying they were unfairly fired after reporting abuse of special-education students at a Philadelphia elementary school.
